MADELINE 'TOOTSIE' (DI FOLCO) PANICCIA

88, formerly of Providence and Hollywood, FL passed away Friday March 15, 2013 at the Village at Waterman Lake in Greenville. She was the wife of the late Major William R. Paniccia Sr. PPD, Ret. Born in Providence she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Concetta (Marchetti) DiFolco.

Madeline was employed by the former Gladding's Dept. Store and was a member of St. Bartholomew's Church and Scalabrini Villa Women's Guilds, Providence Police Wives Association and the Providence FOP #3 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by two sons William R. Paniccia Jr. of Hollywood, FL and Robert J. Paniccia of Myrtle Beach, SC; two grandchildren William R. (Vanessa) Paniccia III and Christine (Stephen) Davis; three great grandchildren William IV, Lena Elizabeth and Isabella Paniccia. She was the mother in law of Marsha Paniccia and sister of the late Anna Albanese, Sophie, Domenic, Antonio and Rocco DiFolco.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Monday at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church Providence at 10am. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery Cranston. VISITING HOURS Sunday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association 245 Waterman St. Suite 306 Providence, RI 02906.
