Lydia A. (Delfino) Rossi

88, of Cranston, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Tuesday, March 16, 2021. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lena (Palumbo) Delfino, and former spouse of the late Frank Rossi Jr.

Lydia worked at Atlantic Mills as a salesclerk, a cafeteria worker for Saint Mary’s school lunch program and a hostess in Box Seats at Lincoln Greyhound Park before her retirement.

Lydia was the happiest when the phone was ringing, and her home was filled with family and friends. She will be remembered for her warm heart and easy-going demeanor. We will all miss those infamous “Pepper Biscuits”!

She is survived by her loving and devoted children, Frank D. Rossi and his wife JoAnne of Cranston, and Sharlene M. Rossi of Johnston; cherished grandchildren, Jacob Frank Rossi and Tayla Nicole Rossi. She was the dear sister of John Delfino and his wife Ada of Fort Myers, Florida, and the late Richard Delfino. Lydia leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves behind her faithful and adoring dog, Brandy.

A special thank you to all of Lydia’s Hospice Nurses and CNA professionals especially Jennifer, Vanessa and Norma for the loving care that they provided.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday March 22nd at 11:00 am in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Lydia’s honor.

A message from Lydia:

Dearest Friends and Family Members,

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank you for visiting and cooking for me these last few months. What joy you all gave me reminiscing about the great times that we shared. I am at peace now and will soon be reunited with our loved ones that we all miss so much.  Until we meet again……

Love and Best Wishes to you all,

Lyd
