Lydia (Capobianco) DeAngelis 91, of Homeland St. Johnston passed away Sunday July 26, 2009, at the St. Elizabeth's Home in East Greenwich. She was the beloved wife of late Charles DeAngelis. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Addolorata (Calalucca) Capobianco. Mrs. DeAngelis worked at the Providence City Hall Marriage License Bureau, and was also a Secretary at the Tacoa Jewelry Company. Lydia was a 1936 graduate of Central High School , and was also a Past President of the Woman's Youth League of RI. She is survived by her loving children, Beverly J. Votta and her husband Domenic of Greenville and Charles J. DeAngelis, M.D. of Warwick. She was the cherished grandmother of Lynne DeNoncour, Jason DeAngelis Esq., Meghan DeAngelis and Tara DeAngelis DPT, and was also the great grandmother of Sydney and Drew DeNoncour. Lydia was the sister of Ida Pezzullo of Johnston, and the late Theresa Fillipone Pansera, Esther Cianci, Angelina Conti, Giovanni Capobianco, MD, and William Capobianco. Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Phillips Church Putnam Pike, Greenville. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday 4-8 pm.
