Luigi Marrocco

86, of Johnston, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 15, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Orlandina (Pariselli) Marrocco for 62 years. Born in Rocco D’Evandro, Caserta, Italy, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Elvira (Cennamo) Marrocco. Mr. Marrocco was a barber and owner of Village Barber Shop for over 38 years. Luigi enjoyed hunting, mushrooming, playing bocce ball and spending time outdoors. He was known to be the best card player in the State of RI. Luigi was a lifelong member of the Santa Maria di Prata Society. Luigi had a contagious personality and everyone he came in contact with fell in love with him.

Besides his wife Orlandina, he is survived by his two loving sons, Gianfranco Marrocco of Providence, Gaetano Marrocco and his wife Agnieszka of Johnston. He was the cherished grandfather of Giulia, Noelia, Nino, Lola, and Vivi. Luigi was the brother of Guido Marrocco and his wife Rita of Johnston, stepbrother of Maria Napolitano and her husband Richard of Scituate. He was also predeceased by his late brother Antonio Marrocco.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, Nov. 20th, at 9:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Entombment will be held in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. VISITING HOURS: Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. The family does request everyone to wear masks for all services.
