Lucy Tacelli

Lucy Tacelli, 90, of Johnston passed away peacefully on Friday July 5, 2024, with her family by her side. Born in Cranston, she was the daughter of the late Carlo and Maria (Pezza) Matrullo. She was the wife of the late Domenico Tacelli.

She was employed for many years as a legal secretary. Family was most important to her. She was known for always having several nicknames for each family member. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an avid reader that averaged two books a week. She loved her Lancôme makeup and her Tory Birch perfume. Every phone call was ended the same way, she would never say goodbye, she would instead say “I love you, remember to say your prayers”.

She is survived by three sons David Tacelli and his wife Lisa, Christopher Tacelli and his wife Carolyn, and Mark Tacelli and his wife Angel. She was the grandmother of Michael Tacelli, Anthony Tacelli, Christopher Tacelli, Valerie Henderson, David Tacelli, Paul Tacelli, and Michael Pilkington. She was the great grandmother of Kaylee Phillips, Reya Tacelli, Domenic Tacelli, and Giuliana Tacelli. She was the sister of Carlo Matrullo. She was predeceased by a son Michael Tacelli, and four siblings.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, will leave at 10:30 am on Friday July 12, 2024, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, 1525 Church Street, Cranston. The burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be held Friday from 9:30 -10:30am. Donations in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
