Lucy Spirito , 96, of Cranston, passed away on February 8, 2023.
She was the daughter of the late Bernardo and Francesca (Agresti) Spirito.
Lucy was a lifelong resident of Cranston. Her mother died when she was sixteen and she assumed the duties of the household , ca ring for her family in addition to working at Spirito’s Market . Knightsville was a close-knit community and her neighbors and customers became her extended family .
She retired from the administrative office of Bonanza Bus after 21 years.
F amily was of primary importance to her.
She is survived by her devoted niece, Brenda Baginski (Joseph) and her nephew, Bernard Spirito (Joanne). She was the loving great -aunt to Jacquelyn and Martin Baginski and Andrew Spirito. In addition to her parents , she was predeceased by her brothers Albert, Biag i o and Dom e n ic Spirito .

Donations in Lucy’s memory may be made to St. Mark’s Church. V isiting hours for Lucy will be held on Monday , February 13, 2023 from 8-9 AM at the Nardolillo Funeral Home , 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mark’s Church . Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemeter y.
