LUCY E. (FILIPPONE) MONTECALVO

Lucy E. (Filippone) Montecalvo 96, of Johnston, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Innocenzo "Chip" Montecalvo. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Rose (Campopiano) Filippone. She is survived by her loving daughter Celeste J. Sunderland and her husband Ronald of Johnston. Lucy was the mother of the late William L. Montecalvo. She was the mother- in-law of Elizabeth Montecalvo of Smithfield. Lucy was the grandmother of William and Stacey Sunderland, Vincent and Christopher Montecalvo and Erica Campopiano. She was the great-grandmother of Mia Rayn Campopiano. Mrs. Montecalvo was the sister of Esther Macedo of Florida and the late Americo, Vincent, Paul, Albert and Gilda Filippone, Vera Barone and Anna Gesualdi. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
