Lucy Elizabeth Megrdichian

Lucy Elizabeth (Kojoian) Megrdichian, 83, of Cranston passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 19, 2024. She was the beloved wife of 60 years to the late Peter Megrdichian. Born in Montreal, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late John and Araxie (Ouzounian) Kojoian. Lucy was the devoted mother of John Megrdichian and his wife, Debra of Cranston and Stephen and his wife Rena of Scituate; loving grandmother of four grandchildren, Melissa, Mari, Garen and Peter and aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was the dear sister of Tina Artinian and her husband Garo of West Palm Beach, Florida and the late Mary Anne Mardikian and her late husband Albert. 

Lucy was a faithful and devoted member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church. She was a past member of the Armenian Church Youth Organization in Montreal where she eventually met her husband at the 1959 ACYOA General Assembly in Buffalo, NY. She was the past Dirouhie of the Daughters of Vartan - Aik Chapter. She also served on the Memorial Dinner Committee, Women's Guild and the Bingo Committee.

She was an avid card player with her sisters, family and many of her Church friends. Lucy traveled the world with her husband and family. 

Lucy always opened her home to her family and friends. She hosted countless holidays, family dinners and card parties. Her home was impeccably neat, clean and tidy and always ready for company. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.

Visiting Hours will be held on Friday, May 24th, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to11 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 11a.m. at Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Church.  Burial will follow the church services at Swan Point Cemetery, Providence.
