LUCIA "LUCY" (PAPITTO) SASSO

85, of Harris Ave. Cranston, passed away on Sunday July 11, 2010 at RI Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Sasso. Lucy was born in Cranston, the daughter of the late Gaetano and Alesandra (Maccioni) Papitto. She is survived by her loving children, Lucille Sasso and her companion Peter Dias of Bristol and Louis F. Sasso and his wife Alicia of North Providence. She was also the cherished grandmother of Louis and Kara Sasso, Angel and Anna Alvarez, and was the sister of the late Victor Papitto, Madeline Piacente, Rose Rego and Viola Piscione. Lucy enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles and summers at Roy Carpenter's Beach. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Home Service on Wednesday at 11 am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston. Burial will take place in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS: Wednesday Morning 10-11am. Kindly omit flowers.
