LOUIS L. "PAPA LOU" VINAGRO

Louis L. "Papa Lou" Vinagro 88, of Shun Pike, Johnston, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at Heritage Hills Nursing Home, Smithfield. He was the husband of Angelina (Vevish) Vinagro. They were married for sixty-eight years. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Marchetti) Vinagro. Mr. Vinagro was the owner of Green Hill Farms of Johnston since 1962. He was also a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union Local # 251, East Providence. Mr. Vinagro was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. He was a member of the VFW and the Disabled American Veterans. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Ann Marie DeCesare, JoAnn Bromley, Joseph Vinagro, Louis Vinagro, Jr. and Anthony Vinagro all of Johnston. He was the grandfather of twelve and the great-grandfather of twelve. Mr. Vinagro was the brother of Mary Mercurio of North Providence, Julia Pagliarini of Cranston and the late Susan Tucci, Eleanor Colantauno and Etta Melone. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Atwood Avenue, Johnston . Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Robert Bellarmine Emergency Food Shelf, 1804 Atwood Avenue, Johnston, RI 02919.
