LOUIS R. STRAVATO

81, of Jacqueline Dr., Providence, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Orchard View Manor in East Providence. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to Dorothy N. (Angeli) Stravato.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Louis and Rose (D'Agnillo) Stravato.

Louis was a sheet metal worker for Annex Sheet Metal for over 30 years retiring in 1978. He served in the U.S. Naval Reserve for four years. Louis was a Providence City Councilman from 1974-1989. He was a Past Grand Knight and a member of the Knights of Columbus Hope Council #398, Italo American Club, Young Pannese Social Club and Cranston City Hall Club.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Louis D. Stravato (PPD) of East Providence, Thomas J. Stravato of Westerly, Brenda M. Pacheco of Providence and Steven A. Majeika of Westerly. He was the loving grandfather of

Louis P. Stravato, Anthony M. Stravato and Evan P. Pacheco and was the loving great-grandfather of Zachery E. Shaker-Stravato. He was the dear brother of Gloria Caniglia of Cranston, Robert Stravato of Cranston, Carol LaBianca of Cranston, Edward Stravato of Johnston and the late Gaetano Stravato and Nancy DiConstanzo.

His funeral will be held on Thursday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church, 297 Laurel Hill Ave. Providence at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4pm to 8 pm.
