LOUIS MASI

90, of Johnston, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at the Rhode Island Veterans Home, Bristol. He was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Colagiovanni) Masi. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Nicola and Maria (Pacitto) Masi. Louis was a co-owner of the former Jeri-Lou Creations, of Johnston. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WW II on the USS Topeka, and was the recipient of six medals. During his retirement years, he enjoyed bowling at Town Hall Lanes. He was a member of the Manton Seniors, and was extremely devoted to his family.

He is survived by his loving children, Patricia M. Vecchione and her husband Arnold of Johnston, Barbara J. Taylor of Trophy Club, TX and her late husband John, and Nicholas L. Masi and his wife Kathleen of Johnston. He leaves behind seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was the brother of Anthony "Tony" Masi of FL, Joseph Masi of East Providence, and the late Armando Masi, Anna Crapolicchio, and Jenny Priete. He will be deeply missed by his loving companion of twelve years, Rose Miletta.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Thursday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
