Louis R. Lossini

of Cranston passed away on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at Elmhurst Extended Care Facility, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Alexandra “Sandy” (Hill) Lossini.

Born in Providence he was the son of the late Elio and Theresa (DeFusco) Lossini. Louis was a tool maker and plant manager of Eli Metal Products for many years before retiring.

Louis was a graduate of Johnston High School and Northeastern University where he earned a degree in engineering. He worked for a time at Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut. For the rest of his career, he worked with family at Eli Metal Co. He enjoyed restoring muscle cars to their former glory. He enjoyed summer evenings at Oakland Beach checking out the classic cars on display. He was an accomplished woodworker, concentrating on wildlife.

Every summer, he and his wife would visit family in Florida, with a stop at Old Town. They would also travel to Las Vegas, and visit casinos with Mom, who won most of the time.

He was a favorite uncle, cousin, and granddad, who enjoyed, time with his large family.

Besides his wife he was the devoted father of Laurene Lossini of Cranston, Louis Elio Lossini and his wife Michelle Damiano of Johnston and step-father of Merrill Torgan Jr of Warwick and Clinton “Danny” Torgan and his wife Lisa of North Carolina; loving grandfather of Vince Lossini, Benjamin Torgan and Nicole Pierce; and brother of Laura Grimes of CT.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday August 12, 2021 from 10 am. to 12 noon at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston. Inurnment will be private.
