Louis E. Gentile, Sr.

75, of Sterling, CT, formerly of Cranston, passed away at home on Saturday, March 11, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Annette (Silva) Gentile. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Luigi Eldorado and Mary (Lato) Gentile. Louis was employed as a foreman for the Cranston School Department for over 20 years before his retirement. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Louis E. Gentile, Jr., Leah (Gentile) Benevides, Donna (Gentile) Stiles and Vicki Gentile; cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Allen Benevides, Jared and Brittany Roy, Bill Robinson and David Cotoia. He was the dear brother of the late Virginia Creta and Theresa Fillipone.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 pm.
