Louis A. Fabrizio, Sr.
80, of Hurlbert St. Johnston, passed away Friday May 15, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Caroline (Tower) Fabrizio. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Marco and Assunta (DiOrio) Fabrizio. Mr. Fabrizio was an Independent Insurance Adjuster, a special police officer for the Johnston Police Department, and was also employed with the State of RI at the MHRH. Louis was an avid card player and loved being with his family, he truly will be missed. He was also a US Coast Guard and WW II Army Veteran, serving in Guam.
Louis is survived by his loving children, Louis Fabrizio, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Smithfield, Susan Fabrizio Golish and her husband William of Warwick, his cherished grandchildren, Brenda, Louis, Megan, Kyle, and his great grandchild, Brianna. He was also the longtime companion of Catherine Iozzi of Johnston, and was the brother of William Fabrizio of CA, Raymond Fabrizio of North Providence, and the late Albert Fabrizio, Lawrence and Florence DiOrio, and Jeanette Pullano.
His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in Holy Cross Church, Hartford Ave. Providence. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 4-8 pm.
