LOUIS A. "LOU" CALDARONE

91, of Providence passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Nadeau) Caldarone. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Thomas and Marguerite (Segrella) Caldarone. Lou was a US Army Veteran whom was discharged as a Staff Sargeant before enlisting in the US Air Force in 1955, honorably discharged as a Technical Assistant in 1958.

He worked as a production controller at Quonsett for 30 years before his retirement. Lou was a recipient of the Purple Heart. As an avid golfer, he was a Club Champion in three different golf courses. He was a life member of Disable American Veterans, former member of the Alpine Country Club, member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and the Vetrans of Foreign Wars Post 1011. Lou could be found hanging around his devoted stepson's bar and grill located in Johnston known as JJ's Coliseum.

Besides his wife he is survived by his devoted stepson James H. Williams, Jr. and his wife Angela of Providence. He was the brother of Judge Thomas Caldarone and Teresa Gianfrancesco, both of North Providence. Lou was the cherished grandfather of six.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew Church at 10:00 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Monday 5:00-8:00 p.m.
