86, of Cannon St., Cranston, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband for 63 years of Antonetta (Petrarca) Branca. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Gabriel and Cesarina (Rizzo) Branca.
Mr. Branca was a truck driver and laborer for Fanning & Doorley Construction Co. and later for Lynch Construction before retiring. He was a WW-II U.S. Army veteran and was a member of V.F.W.; American Legion; and Retirees Union Local 251.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Stephen L. Branca of Providence, Elaine C. Walters and her late husband Max, and Louis G. Branca, Jr. and his wife Patricia, all of Cranston; loving grandfather of seven; loving great-grandfather of eleven; and dear brother of Helen Richardson, Edith Persechino and Rose Conca, all of Cranston, and the late Mary Petrangelo, Modesto, Amondo and Arthur Branca.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco's Church, 931 Atwood Ave., Johnston at 10 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOUR S are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
