74, of Hope, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry. A lifelong resident of Rhode Island, born in Adams, MA she was the daughter of the late William Battista, Maj.USArmy, Ret. and Minnie (Biachi) Battista. Lou Ann was affiliated with the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, as the bookkeeper for many years. She was an avid and talented crafter.
She is survived by her loving children, Steven R. Lauro of Scituate, Jennifer Waterman of Warwick, Julianne DeSimone of Scituate, and the late Richard P. Lauro. Lou Ann was the cherished grandmother of six. She was the sister of the late William and Gilbert Battista. Lou Ann leaves behind many friends and relatives, she will be sadly missed by many and thought of often.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Interment will be private. VISITING HOURS Saturday 1-3 p.m.
