LORRAINE (CECILE) MARTINEAU DOS SANTOS

Lorraine Cecile (Martineau) Dos Santos, 72, of East View Avenue, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011. She was married on May 17, 1958 to her loving husband Manuel J. Dos Santos. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Leo and R. Blanche (Charland) Martineau. Lorraine had two daughters; Rosemarie Orlandi of Cranston married to Ralph Orlandi Jr. and Janine Hesford of Scituate, married to Scott Hesford. Grandmother of Ralph Orlandi III, Gianna, (twins) Alexsa and Jake Hesford. Sister of the late Jean Hitte. She was the sister-in-law of Marie Cote, aunt of Nancy Cote and great aunt of Charles Imondi. Lorraine started her career at New England Telephone in 1954 as a switchboard operator, and worked in various departments, Accounting, Plant, then retired in 1995 as a Maintenance Assistant in the Pawtucket office with 41 years of service. Lorraine was an active member of the Morning Glory Quilters from the Cranston Senior Center; the St. Mark's Church Crafters and enjoyed her luncheons with "the Golden Girls and also a member of the Red Hat Society. Lorraine loved her Family and friends. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and quilting along with helping make hats for Cancer patients and Newborn babies. She loved gardening and always loved her flowers. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of St. Mark, Garden City Cranston at 10:00am. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 5-8pm. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
