Lori A. Medeiros

Lori Ann Medeiros, 69, of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025, with her family by her side. Born in Providence, raised in Riverside, she was the beloved wife of Jack Medeiros and daughter of the late Frederick and Julia (Studley) Balkcom.

Lori first and foremost was a loving, dedicated mother and grandmother to her three children and two grandchildren. Time spent with her family was most important to her. She loved spending the holidays with family where her culinary skills shined. Her famous broccoli casserole was something everyone looked forward to each year. Lori truly cherished any time spent with family and friends.

Lori also had a variety of talents and interests. She was a huge science fiction lover including Star Wars and Star Trek. Her favorite musician was Elvis Presley, with “Can’t Help Falling In Love” selected as her and Jack’s wedding song. Lori loved spending summer days at Second Beach in Middletown with her family. She loved reading, especially Stephen King and the Harry Potter series. Lori was great at sewing and enjoyed making homemade Halloween costumes for her sons and dance attire for her daughter.

Lori’s legacy of love, devotion to family, and the joy she brought to all those around her will never be forgotten.

In addition to her husband Jack, Lori is survived by her adored children, Kelly Casperson, Cole Medeiros, and Alex Medeiros and his wife Krista; her treasured grandchildren, Cadan Casperson and Natalia Armstrong; sister, Cheryl Picard and her husband Robert; and brother, Bruce Balkcom. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert Balkcom.
