LORETTA (RUGGIERO) PARENTE

89, of Woonsocket, previously of Cranston, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2013 at RI Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late Pellegrino" Chip" Parente. Loretta was born in Providence, a daughter of the late Salvatore Ruggiero Sr. and Rosa (Marasco) Ruggiero.
Loretta was known for her quick wit; she inspired much humor and was passionate about her family and faith.
She is survived by her loving children, Joseph Parente of NC, Pamela Jones of CT, Dennis Parente of Bristol and Joanne Nosiglia of MO. She was also the cherished grandmother of 10, great grandmother of 4 and the dear sister of Sarah Kozmierski, Evelyn Kite, Roseanne Walters, Lucille DeCosta, Salvatore Ruggiero, Jr., James Ruggiero and the late George and Joseph Ruggiero.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday morning 8:30-10:30 am.
