Loretta M. (Ciocchi) DeRobbio 95 of Cranston died on Friday May 7, 2021 on the anniversary of the day she received her First Holy Communion surrounded by her children. She was the beloved wife of the late Angelo DeRobbio, Jr. Loving and cherished mother of Mary-Jo, Angelo III and Nancy DeRobbio
Born in Bristol, Rhode Island. She was the daughter of the late Modesto and Emilia (Taito) Ciocchi. Her parents moved to Baltimore, Maryland when she was 6 months old. She lived in Baltimore until her marriage in 1952.
She was the sister of the late Alphonse and Joseph Ciocchi.
Loretta was a devout Roman Catholic. She had a deep devotion to Our Blessed Mother. She would pray the rosary two or more times a day.
She was a secretary for many years until she "retired" to be a stay-at-home mom. She loved cooking and caring for her family, who meant the world to her as she meant the world to them.
She was an original bobby socker who loved and followed the career of Frank Sinatra. She was thrilled to have met him at the Hippodrome Theater in Baltimore.
She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching old movies, especially musicals and liked watching game shows.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10am in Immaculate Conception Church , Cranston. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted, and burial will be private.
