LORA M. (MONAGHAN) LARSEN

LORA M. (MONAGHAN) LARSEN 84, of Aqueduct Rd. Cranston, passed away Monday August 17, 2009 at Cortland Place, in Greenville. She was the wife of the late John H. Larsen. Born in Central Falls, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Laura (LaBoissierre) Monaghan. Lora was an office worker for the former BIF Industries, and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of RI for 40 years, retiring in 1990. She was a past member of the RI Hiking Club, a volunteer worker at McCauley House and was an avid bowler. She is survived by her children; Michael J. Larsen of Smithfield, Stephen J. Larsen of Cranston and Richard J. Larsen of Coventry, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was the sister of James Monaghan Sr. of Charlestown and Margaret Carlone of San Bernadino, CA, and the late Robert Jr., George, John and Thomas Monaghan. Her funeral will be held on Saturday at 8 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mark's Church Garden City Cranston at 9 a.m. Burial will be in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
