Lois M. LaPietra-Kaplan

Lois (Lola) M. LaPietra- Kaplan, 70, loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away suddenly on Friday April 8, 2022. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Louise LaPietra.

Lois enjoyed volunteering at any opportunity, whether it was for church, senior centers, voter registration, the Gloria Gemma Foundation or really any local event that needed it. One of her greatest joys was playing bingo with family and friends. Her generous spirit started the instant the two of you met. Every time you saw her she brought gifts just because. She was always full of complements and made everyone feel special. There was never a missed birthday or occasion. Lois found joy in being a personal tour guide for visitors of her little state. She was very energetic and always on the go. She knew all of the hidden treasures as well as the goings on in the state of Rhode Island, one of her favorite spots being Newport.  She also enjoyed making memories with family at Disneyworld.

She is survived by her 6 children whom she loved very much, Racheal, Michelle, Angel, Lonnie, Jodi, and Eugene. She was the grandmother of six grandchildren. She was the sister of Eugene LaPietra, a devoted brother and had seven other siblings. She will be dearly missed.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday April 19, 2022, from 9:00 -10:00 in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a 10:00 am funeral home service.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
