Liz Goulet Dubois, 55, of Hope passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston with her family by her side. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Stephen and Carol (DePetrillo) Goulet and beloved wife of Eric Dubois, with whom she had just celebrated her 31st wedding anniversary.
Liz was a 1985 graduate of Mount Saint Charles Academy. She then went on to receive her bachelor’s degree in 1989, from RISD. Her career started in product and toy design. However, her true passion was writing and illustrating. The first book in a series, Duck and Cluck: That Egg Is Mine!, was published earlier this year, with the sequel due to be released next spring. Her life’s work was something that she loved to share with others, and she passed on that passion to her daughters.
Besides her parents and her husband, she is survived by her three loving daughters Audrey, Evelyn and Millie Dubois. She was the sister of Stephen Goulet and his wife Dawn, an aunt to Channing and Alden Goulet and Aurore Monseu, and daughter-in-law to Jean-Marie and Doris Dubois. Liz was also the niece of Adele Barracca, Frank DePetrillo, Eleanor and TC Chadronet, Tom DePetrillo, Larry and Nancy DePetrillo, Linda DePetrillo, Judith Stracaluzzi ,David and Jean DePetrillo, and Paul and Luanne DePetrillo. She was predeceased by sister-in-law Valérie Dubois and uncles Nick and Anthony DePetrillo.
Her Catholic prayer service will be held Saturday August 20, 2022, at 11:00 am at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Her burial will be private. VISITING HOURS will be held Friday from 4:00 – 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Liz Goulet Dubois Scholarship Fund, P.O. box 276, South Yarmouth, MA 02664-0276.
