Linda L. (Overbaugh) Peters

76, of East Greenwich, Rhode Island passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 6th 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Edward J. “Ed” Peters. Devoted mother to her three children, Cheryl Dyer (Phil Dyer), Will Overbaugh (Donna Overbaugh) and Mike Overbaugh (Erica Overbaugh); and step children Erik Peters (Sandra Peters) and Brad Marshall. She was a loving grandmother to her grandchildren Jason Dyer, Alexis Overbaugh, Sydney Overbaugh, Angel Dyer, Mercedez Overbaugh, Arden Lynn Peters and Leia Peters. She also leaves behind her six great grandchildren, Easton Dyer, Armani and Kehlani Hewitt , Emma and Henri Yekelchick and Ezra Peters. Linda was pre-deceased by her parents, Wally and Dorothy Thurber and younger brother Dana. 

She proudly served in the US Air Force for 33 years. Linda loved animals, shopping, writing poems and crafting. Linda also leaves behind her older brother Bob Hinson and her younger sister Sandra Knott. Linda had the most loving and giving heart. She will be missed by many especially her family whom she loved dearly. 

Services with Military Honors will be privately held on Friday, July 12, 2024. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the RISPCA, 155 Plan Way, Warwick, RI 02886.
