Linda M. (Ohman) Abbruzzese

a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home December 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 23, 1940, in Worcester, MA, Linda brought joy and warmth to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

For many years, Linda dedicated herself to her profession as a medical assistant at Seacoast Eye Associates in Wakefield, where her compassion and kindness resonated with colleagues and patients alike until her well-earned retirement. Beyond her career, she was a woman of many passions. 

An active member of St. Peter's by the Sea Church, she found strength and community in her faith. Linda enjoyed watercolor painting, often capturing the beauty of nature, a joy that paralleled her love for gardening. Her enthusiasm for the beach and the natural world reflected her vibrant spirit and her appreciation for life’s simple pleasures.

Linda leaves behind her beloved family, including her daughter, Jennifer Abbruzzese; her daughter, Gayle Mastrostefano, and her husband, John; her sister, Elizabeth Elsing Bard; her granddaughter, Gianna Redmond; her grandson, Joseph Mastrostefano; and her great-grandchildren, Giovanni, En'Ricco, Elena, and Luna. Each of them carries forward her legacy of love, nurturing, and creativity.

She now joins those who preceded her in death, including her devoted husband, Carl B. Abbruzzese; her parents Irving and Dorothy Ohman; and her siblings, Lois Cofsky and Edward Ohman. The reunion with them brings comfort to those she leaves behind.

Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 1pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Saturday from 11am-1pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Providence Rescue Mission, 627 Cranston Street, Cranston, RI 02907.
