Lillian M. (Benoit) Boylan Wilde 93, of Cranston Street, Cranston, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, at Morgan Health Center, Johnson. She was the wife of the late Leo F. Wilde, Sr. and the late Bernard A. Boylan. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late David and Delia (Houde) Benoit. Lillian was a salesperson at the former Kawnian's Store in Olneyville Square and the former Shepard's Department of Providence. She later was a teller at Citizens Bank for five years before her retirement. She enjoyed square dancing for many years and along with her husband Leo, were the founders of the Rhode Island Singletons. Lillian was a summer resident of Matunick Beach for forty years. She is survived by her son Bernard D. Boylan of Groton, CT. Mrs. Wilde was the grandmother of four and the great-grandmother of eight and the stepmother of seven, step-grandmother of nineteen and the step-great-grandmother of twenty-two. Lillian was the sister of Irene Roberts of West Yarmouth, MA. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
