Lillian C. (Levesque) Wisz Leary 89, of Scotland Rd. Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Cedar Crest Sub-Acute & Rehab Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles W. Leary for 61 years and the widow of the late Bronislaus J. Wisz who died in World War II. Born in Fall River, MA on April 18, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Van Celette) Levesque. Lillian was a Crossing Guard for the City of Cranston for 25 years retiring at the age of 75. She loved working with the school children, and it gave her great pleasure knowing she was protecting their safety. She had a soft spot for helping people who were less fortunate and was an advocate in seeing them through difficult times in any way she could. Her kind hearted and selfless nature will be greatly missed by all those whose life she touched. She enjoyed going to Foxwood's, shopping and dining out, but her greatest passion was cooking for her family and friends who delighted in her exceptional culinary talent. She is survived by her son, Donald E. Wisz of Newton, MA, a daughter Patricia A. Pilosa and another son, Dennis F. Leary and his wife Leslie, all of Cranston. She was the best "Nana" to her four grandsons, Twins Jason and Marc Pilosa, and Ryan and Matthew Leary. She also leaves one Great-Grandson, Marc Pilosa. She was the sister of the late Henry and Edward Bishop and Dorothy Levesque. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUENRAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Ann's Church Cranston St. Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Tuesday 4-8 pm.
