LILLIAN (VACCA) COUPE

96, of Simmonsville Ave., Johnston, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Cortland Place in Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel J. Coupe. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Fiore and Giovannina (Storti) Vacca.

Lillian was a textile worker at the former Walter Marshall Spinning Co. in Johnston for many years retiring in 1974 and was the former recreation director of the Kelley & Gazzero Senior Citizens Club. She was an avid Red Sox fan.

She was the devoted mother of Robert J. Coupe and his wife Helen of Scituate; loving grandmother of Robert J. Coupe, Jr. and his wife Johnna of Cranston and Mark C. Coupe of Johnston; loving great-grandmother of Marshall V. Coupe and Harrison R. Coupe; and dear sister of Albert Vacca of Cranston, Arthur Vacca of CA, and the late Joseph, Vincent "Jimmy" and Luigi "Louie" Vacca, Julia Palumbo and Fannie Cambio,

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 10 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Rocco Church, 927Atwood Ave., Johnston at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.

VISITING HOURS MONDAY 4-8 p.m.
