Lillian D. Barish

84, of Johnston, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday September 4, 2024 with her family by her side. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Mary “Melda” (Roukous) DiLullo and the late James DiLullo. She was the devoted wife of Raymond Barish, Sr. for 60 years.

Lillian was a graduate of Mount Pleasant High School. She then went on to become an executive assistant at several organizations and retired from the RI Department of Children, Youth and Families. Lillian was a very devoted and active communicant of St. George Maronite Catholic Church, and a member of The Holy Rosary Sodality. She was an amazing cook and everyone loved her food, especially her family. To Mom, food was love, and we all shared in that in good times and in bad. She was the matriarch of the family, known for her kindness and gentle strength. She was adored by many in her extended family and church community, known for never having spoken an ill word. Her passion was her family and she was devoted to them, and was especially proud of her 4 grandsons.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her cherished children Dorne Jacavone and her husband John, Lynn Pezzullo and her wife Stephanie Grossi, Raymond Barish, Jr., and John Barish and his wife Lynne. She was the adored “Grammy” of Matthew Jacavone, Evan Jacavone, the late Joseph Barish, and Thomas Barish. She was the sister of Bernard DiLullo and his wife Jennie “Jay”, and Mary Isaac and her late husband, Dr. Elias Isaac.

Her funeral will leave at 10:00 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday, September 9, 2024, followed by an 11:00am Funeral Mass at St. George Maronite Church, 1493 Cranston St., Cranston.
