Liliana Turano-Morris

56, of Narragansett, RI, unexpectedly passed away on April 13, 2021.  Born in Acri, Cosenza Calabria, Italy and made the journey to Rhode Island at the age of five, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Iolanda (Lupo) Turano.

Liliana was an endlessly devoted mother to her only son, William J. Soares of Westerly, treasuring the bond they shared.  They embraced every moment spent together, and Liliana gave everything she possibly could to her son.

She was the beloved wife of Christopher A. Morris. Their marriage was filled with nothing but love, laughter and joy. They were a perfect team that supported each other every day they shared together.

Liliana’s passion from a young age was being a hair stylist, she graduated from cosmetology school and began her career as a hairdresser. Through her continuous diligence and hard work, Liliana became the owner of Loose Ends Hair Salon in Westerly. She singlehandedly built a clientele list of hundreds throughout her 35-year career, most of whom became her life-long personal friends.

While Liliana’s chosen career was being a hairdresser and business owner, the true mark she left on the world was her willingness to always help anyone in any way she possibly could. Liliana never hesitated to help a person in need throughout her life.

She enjoyed doing acts of kindness, long walks, good books and keeping a warm home, but most of all she loved to be surrounded by her family.

She leaves behind her loving sister, Filomena Alessio, and her husband, Francesco Alessio, of Westerly, her brother, Vincenzo Turano and his wife Margaret Turano of Westerly. She will be missed by her seven nieces and nephews, Antonio Turano (wife, Angelina Turano), Vincenzo Turano, Salvatore Alessio (wife, Carmela Alessio), Tony Alessio (wife, Carrie Alessio), Frank Alessio (wife, Kalie Alessio), Emily Alessio and Roberto Alessio. In addition, she leaves behind her great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 10am in St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm Street, Westerly.  Burial will follow in St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.  VISITING HOURS Monday from 4-8pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory – SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett.
