79, of Cavalry Street, Cranston, died peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at home. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Nicolopoulos) Pereira. Born in East Providence, he was a son of the late Gaspar and Mary (Silva) Pereira. Mr. Pereira was a truck driver for the former Almac's Supermarkets for thirty years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of Teamsters Union Local #251 Retirees of East Providence. Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children Cynthia M. Driscoll and her companion Steven of North Providence, Anthony Andrade and his wife Phyllis of North Providence and Mary Ann Sinapi and her husband Raymond of Cranston. He was the cherished grandfather of Nicholas Driscoll, Austin and Sophia Andrade, Bianca, Christina, Rachel and Anne Sinapi. Leonard was the brother of Joan Della Grotta and her husband Joseph of Cranston. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday at 11:00 a.m. followed by services at 12:00 noon in Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Burial will be in North Burial Ground, Providence.
