Leonard P. McKenney

72, of Cranston, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Morgan Health Center, Johnston. He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Gay) McKenney for 38 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfred and Lillian (Charron) McKenney. Leonard was an automotive mechanic for 60 years before retiring. He was a US Navy veteran serving during Vietnam Era.

Besides his wife Barbara, he is survived by his loving four sons, Jeffrey McKenney of Cranston, Jarrod McKenney and his wife Jennifer Veltri, Justin McKenney, and Josh McKenney all of Warwick. He was the cherished grandfather of Keven Dellefave, Nora and Emma McKenney. Leonard was the brother of Charles McKenney of NH, Gail Marsigliano of Cranston, and the late Gary McKenney.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, July 28th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston. Burial with military honors will take place in Pocasset Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: WEDNESDAY 5:00-7:00 p.m.
