LEONARD A. ALTIERI

88, of Cranston, passed away in the presence of his loving family on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center, Providence. He was the devoted husband of the late Orfea "Faye" (Vimini) Altieri. They were married 60 years. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Nunzio and Anna (Spotlow) Altieri. Leonard worked as an insurance executive for AETNA Life and Casualty Company for 44 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, golfing, and playing the guitar and mandolin. Leonard was an avid New York Yankees and New England Patriots fan. He was also a WW II Navy Veteran serving as a Radioman Second Class. He is survived by his loving children, Christine Altieri of Carlisle, PA, Mark Altieri and his wife Karen of Warwick, John Altieri and his wife Beverly of Wrentham, MA. He was also the cherished grandfather of Eric Altieri, Lauren Altieri, Caroline Altieri , Harry Cozort, Charles Altieri, and Clara Cozort; he was the great- grandfather of Kaylee Cozort. He was the brother of the late Eleanor (Altieri) Noel of Stratford, CT and the late Anthony Altieri of Milford, CT. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Interment with Military Honors will take place in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Home and Hospice Care of R.I., 1085 North Main St., Providence 02904.
