79, of Cherry Hill Rd. Johnston passed away Saturday at home. She was born in Providence the daughter of the late Salvatore and Mary Rose (Grenci) Vavala. Lena was a jewelry work who had retired from the Trifari Jewelry Company in Providence. She is survived by her loving brother Dr. Domenic A. Vavala of Johnston. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10 am in St. Mary's Church Cranston St. Cranston.
