LENA (RICCIARDI) MANERA
93, of Briggs Street, Cranston, passed away on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the St. Antoine Home, North Smithfield, R.I. She was the wife of the late Armando B. Manera. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Umberto "Albert" and Teresa (Massotti) Ricciardi. Lena was an active member of the Italian Cultural Society and an Intercessor of St. Mary's Church as well as a member of the Knightsville Manor Tenants Association.
She is survived by her children Norma E. Rossi and her husband Robert of Indianland, SC and Theresa Ann Ruggieri and her husband Nick of Cranston, RI. Lena was the grandmother of Claudia Plyler of North Providence, Matthew Rossi of Brooklyn, NY and Regina Helton-Rossi of NYC, NY. She was the sister of Anne Conca of West Warwick and the late Teresa Paolissi, Frank and Albert Ricciardi. Her funeral will be held from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITING HOURS: MONDAY 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Office of Development, St. Antoine Community, 10 Rhodes Avenue, North Smithfield, RI 02896-6999.
