Lawrence "Larry" J. Basile

95, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Cedar Crest Nursing & Rehabilitation Centre, Cranston. He was the beloved husband of Agnes A. (Berardinelli) Basile for 69 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Palmino and Teresa (Spremulli) Basile.

Larry was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He worked as a sales manager for Joseph Creations for many years before retiring. He was a longtime member of the Young Pannese Social Club, and an avid Red Sox fan.

Besides his wife Agnes, he is survived by his loving children, Paul Basile and his wife Mary Fran of Branford, CT, and Lorraine Mazza and her husband John of Cranston; cherished grandchildren, John and his wife Sophie, Ariana and her husband Sean, Joseph and Jenna; great-grandchildren, Rockland, Turner, Bodie and Julian. He was the dear brother of Salvatore Basile, and the late Rose McCaughey and Antonio Basile.

Larry was a kind, humble and hardworking man who loved spending time with his family.

His funeral services are respectfully private.
