83, of North Scituate, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 24, 2012 at home. He was the beloved husband for 60 years of Catherine G. (Forti) Montecalvo. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Ciccone) Montecalvo.
Larry worked in the pet industry for many years and invented the Matt-Away Pet Comb. He served in the RI National Guard for 8 years; was an avid outdoorsman; and raced homing pigeons.
He will always be loved and admired.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Joseph J. Montecalvo and Christina C. Montecalvo; and dear brother of Alexander Montecalvo and Marilyn Nash.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, 144 Danielson Pike (Corner Rte.116), North Scituate, followed by interment at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
VISITING HOURS are Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
