LAWRENCE JR. M EDWARDS

Lawrence M. Edwards Jr.81, passed away at Kent Hospital, Warwick, January 10, 2008. He was the beloved husband of Margaret (Restaino) Edwards for 56 years. He was born in Providence he resided most of his life in Cranston. He was the son of the late Lawrence M. and Amelia (Lefebvre) Edwards Sr. He served during WW-II in the United States Navy and was a member of the V.F.W. Mr. Edwards resigned from the Cranston Fire Department after sixteen years of dedicated service. He was a Boy Scout Troop Leader, and a self employed contractor and a Yacht Captain before his retirement. He had been a member of the Knights of Columbus, and the Knights of the Altar at Immaculate Conception Church, and the Oaklawn Grange. Besides his wife, he was the loving father of Kathleen Edwards of Cranston and Lawrence J. Edwards of Middletown, CT. Mr. Edwards was the loving grandfather of four and the loving great-grandfather of four. He was the brother of the late Raymond S. Edwards and Louise Dow. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Ave., Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
