84, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2011 at Elmhurst Extended Care, Providence. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Edward L and Marie H. (Gallagher) Purcell. Miss Purcell was employed by the former New England Telephone Company for thirty years before her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Laura is survived by one nephew, Kenneth P. Madden and his wife Alice of Hope. She is also survived by three grand nieces and one grand nephew. She was the sister of the late Elise R. Madden.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Mark, 9 Garden Court, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday morning 9-10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o St. Joseph's Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick, RI 02893.
