LAURA Y. (FARNESI) PALAZZO

90, of Johnston, passed away on Tuesday May 25, 2010 at Briarcliff Manor in Johnston. She was the devoted wife of the late John Palazzo. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Madalene Farnesi. Laura worked for Ferro Novelty for ten years before retiring, and was a member of the Italian American War Veterans American Auxiliary. She was the beloved mother of John C. Palazzo and his wife Shirley of Johnston; loving grandmother of Tamara Palazzo, Kristen Salvato; and loving great-grandmother of Juliana; and dear sister of Beatrice Santoro of Johnston, Casey Farnesi of Narragansett, Margaret Corsetti of Providence, and Helen Charlette of Blackstone, MA and the late Henry Farnesi, Ida Ferriera, Lucy Corcelli and Maria DiFazio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church 645 Hartford Ave. Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 PARK Ave. Cranston Thursday 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
