79, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Hope Hospice and Palliative Care, Providence. He was the beloved husband of 23 years to Josephine (Madonna) Yeater. Born in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Spurgeon and Betty (Kearns) Yeater. Larry was an Air Force Vietnam Veteran. He was employed as a Quality Control Inspector at Electric Boat for 25 years, then worked at Advanced Interconnections in West Warwick for many years until his retirement 13 years ago. In his retirement, Larry and Josie enjoyed their summers camping with family and friends on Cape Cod at Bayview Campground.
Besides his beloved wife, he is survived by his sons: Ronald Yeater of West Warwick, Dean Yeater of New Jersey; his step children: Patricia Casey of Westerly, David Evans of Connecticut, Jennifer Hiscox of Cranston and Brian Evans of New Hampshire. He was also the grandfather to 11 grandchildren. Larry is predeceased by his sister Nancy Stiles and brother James Yeater.
His visiting hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-7pm in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Avenue Cranston.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday morning at 10am in St. Paul’s Church, 30 Warwick Ave. Cranston followed by military honors. His private burial will be held at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to: American Heart Association.
