Kirk W. O'Brien

44, of Cumberland died tragically Sunday February 17, 2008 after sustaining injuries from a skiing accident at his second home, on Killington Mountain, VT. He was the beloved husband of Heather M. (Ramos) O'Brien. Born in Providence he was the son of Agnes A. (Nerney) Carter of Warwick and the late Kenneth E. O'Brien Jr. and was the stepson of Gerard Carter of Warwick. He was a career Mortgage Banker and Lender receiving numerous awards and achievements in the mortgage industry. He was a graduate of Cranston High School West, Providence College and the Southern New England School of Law. His first love was his family and friends, and was a world traveled skier and golfer with an unsurpassed generosity for all. Kirk was the devoted father to his twin daughters Hannah Leigh and Hope Marie O'Brien, brother of Kenneth E. O'Brien III and his wife Elissa D. of Coventry and uncle of Kamron, Sydni and Konor O'Brien, Janel Ramos and his godson Nicholas J. Ramos. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 11am in St. Kevin's Church Sandy Lane Warwick and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Friday 3-8pm. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund for the children of Kirk W. O'Brien C/O 928 Park Ave. Cranston, RI 02910.
