of Cranston, passed away peacefully at home on the night of August 7th, 2021.
The son of the late William and Strelsa (Wildenhain) O'Brien, Kevin was a lifelong resident of Rhode Island. He is survived by Linda A. (Burnside), his beloved wife of 33 years; his son Christopher A. O'Brien and his wife Naomi, of North Providence, whom he was so proud of; the family dog, Neo; his sister Tracy Sands, of Warwick; Gloria, Judy, Adams, and countless other friends and family.
A chef for over 40 years, Kevin loved golf, cooking, and was a diehard Patriots fan. But above all, Kevin loved to open up his home to family and friends. Nothing brought him more joy than inviting the entire extended family to his home on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Kevin used food to show his love for others. As Linda would always say, whenever he cooked, he'd make enough for 20 people and give it away to half the family.
Kevin was the greatest guy you'd ever hope to meet. He will be dearly missed by all.
Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin's name can be made to Hasbro Children's Hospital, c/o RI Hospital Foundation, Box H-Annex Station, Providence, RI 02901-9979.
