KATHY S. (SLAUTA) CONNORS

Kathy S. (Slauta) Connors, 43, of Narragansett passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 15, 2009. She was the loving wife and best friend of Kevin M. Connors. They were married for sixteen years. Born in North Kingstown, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Yvonne (Thibault) Slauta. A graduate of The Prout School, Kathy earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's degree in Business Management both from the University of Rhode Island. She was a competitive athlete who also loved boating and nature. Kathy strongly believed in and supported the efforts of the RI Blood Bank, American Cancer Society and Special Olympics. Despite her illness she touched in a positive way the many people with whom she met and always thought of others before herself. Well known for her infectious smile, she will be sadly missed by all those who knew her, especially her family and her great circle of friends. Besides her husband she is survived by her sisters, Claudia Belden, Frances Furbush and brothers Peter, Michael and Thomas. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Veronica's Chapel, Boston Neck Road, (Rt.1A) Narragansett and may call at the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt.1A) Narragansett on Sunday 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
