KATHRYN M. (HORAN) MAC ANDREW

Kathryn M. (Horan) MacAndrew 82, of Dean St. Cranston, passed peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday March 27, 2009 at the home of her daughter in Narragansett. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Vincent I. MacAndrew Sr. Born in Providence was the daughter of the late Dr. William A. Horan and Katherine L. (Wagner) Horan. Mrs. MacAndrew was a Social Worker for 19 years. She also worked along side her husband in his medical practice until his retirement in 1996. Kathryn was a graduate of Regis College in Weston, MA class of 1948, and received her Masters degree in Social Work in 1951. She is survived by her loving children, Dr. Vincent I. MacAndrew Jr. and his wife Kathleen of East Greenwich, Joseph MacAndrew and his wife Ann of Westerly, Deirdre M. Kentley and her husband Hugh of Medway, MA, William K. MacAndrew and his wife Sandra of Coventry, M. Julia Iacono and her husband Frank P. Iacono Jr. of Narragansett, her siblings, Claire Brady of South Dartmouth, MA, Anne McMurrough of Andover, MA, Suzanne Horan of South Dartmouth, MA, George Horan of Bristol. She was also the cherished grandmother of 11, and was the sister of the late William A. Horan Jr. and Charles F. Horan. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 11 am in St. Mark's Church 60 Narragansett Ave. Jamestown. Burial will be in St. Mark's Cemetery, Jamestown. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Regis College Office of Development Box 30 235 Wellesley St. Weston, MA 02493-1571.
