Kathleen M. (Murphy) Mancini

74, of Coventry, RI formerly of Warwick and Cranston, passed away peacefully at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Inpatient Center on August 11, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Mancini.

Born July 8, 1948 in Lawrence, MA, Kathy was the daughter of the late James T. Murphy and Barbara (Johnston) Cook. She was a hairdresser and was formerly employed as an instructor at Rhode Island Beauty Academy. Kathy leaves her daughters, Gina Pickett, Esq. and her husband, Stephen, of Pomfret Center, CT, and Kerri Gambardella, BSN.RN of Coventry, RI. She was known as “Meme” by her three adoring grandchildren, Megan Pickett, Connor Pickett and Joseph Gambardella, Jr.

She was the loving sister of Joanne (Murphy) Gyorgy of Coventry, RI, and James Cook of Assonet, MA. Kathy enjoyed reading, baking, and above all else, spending time with her family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday August 15, 2022 at 11 am in St. Kevin’s Church 333 Sandy Lane Warwick. Burial will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
