Kathleen A. (Guarino) Gambuto, age 66, of Cranston, passed away unexpectedly on December 17, 2024, surrounded by family. She was the daughter of the late Michael Guarino and is survived by her mother, Evelyn (Tedeschi) Guarino.
Kathleen, lovingly known as Kathie, leaves behind her beloved husband of 44 years, David Gambuto. She is also survived by her two devoted daughters, Amanda Gambuto and Lora (Gambuto) Broccoli, along with her son-in-law, Dante Broccoli, and her treasured granddaughters, Carmela and Francesca Broccoli.
She is remembered by her loving sister, Donna, and brother-in-law, Joseph Fantozzi, her godson and nephew, Joseph Fantozzi Jr., his wife Kelly, and their children, Thomas and Savina. Kathie also had a special bond with her late brother-in-law Wayne Gambuto, his wife Irit, and her goddaughter and niece Sabrina (Gambuto) O’Shea, her husband Andrew, and their son Salem. Kathie also leaves behind her loving uncles Kenneth Guarino, his wife Ellie and family, and Robert Guarino and his wife Sandra. Not to mention many life long friends whom have become family. She also leaves her faithful companion Santino "Saint".
A proud Summa Cum Laude graduate of Bryant University at just 20 years old, Kathie began her career as an accountant and served as the financial controller for her family’s manufacturing company, Contract Specialties, Inc., for over 35 years.
Kathie found joy in many aspects of life, particularly in helping to raise her granddaughters. She took pride in their activities, sharing her love for rock and roll music, and often made them laugh with her playful spirit. A talented cook, she was known for her culinary skills and enjoyed cheering for her New England sports teams. Kathie loved rocking out to Led Zeppelin and embraced social media, where she formed lasting friendships. She was also a dedicated supporter of St. Jude Children's Hospital and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kindness and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Monday, December 23rd at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Sunday, December 22nd from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m.
