Katherine A. Valdivia

41, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away at her home on Saturday, March 15, 2025. Born in Providence, RI, she was the beloved daughter of Nelson and Debra (Medeiros) Valdivia of Warwick.

Katherine was a talented video game graphic designer, a passionate gamer, and an early punk rock concert organizer in Rhode Island. Through her creativity and dedication, she built a strong following in both the punk music scene and the virtual gaming world, forging deep connections with those who shared her love for art, rebellion, and digital storytelling.

Deeply proud of her Bolivian heritage, Katherine was an integral part of the Fraternidad Folklórica Boliviana from its inception. She embraced Bolivian culture, folklore, food, and traditions, celebrating them with passion and joy.

In addition to her loving parents, she is survived by her two brothers, Kenneth Valdivia of West Warwick and Kyle Valdivia of Cranston, with whom she shared a strong, unbreakable bond. She also leaves behind many cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to honor Katherine’s life at her funeral service on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The service will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Nardolillo Funeral Home, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church in Providence. Burial will take place at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.
